Overview & Tips:
Designed for smooth, continuous color mixing and precise pixel-level control, this COB SPI addressable RGB LED strip is ideal for ambient lighting, backlighting, stage accents, signage, and custom installations. The strip features a continuous light surface with dense LEDs for dreamy color effects and reduced visible dotting.
Important Notes:
- Price includes only the LED light strip. Power supply and pixel controller are not included.
- This SPI COB RGB strip typically requires a DC 12V or 24V power supply and a compatible pixel controller. Verify voltage for the variant you purchase.
- There is a welded joint every 0.5 meters (1.64 ft); this is normal for electronic strips and not a defect.
- Cut the strip only at marked cutting points. Do not fold or bend forcefully.
- Ensure the installation surface is smooth, clean, and dry before applying the adhesive tape on the back of the PCB.
- For longer runs, inject power at multiple points (both ends or intermediate) to reduce voltage drop.
- Connector pinout: red = VCC, white = GND, green = DATA. Verify wiring before powering on.
- Not compatible with WLED/ESP32 controllers. Use compatible SPI pixel controllers (Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, or dedicated pixel controllers) — sold separately.
Power Calculation Example:
Theoretical power consumption: 12V strips ≈ 12 W/m (≈ 3.66 W/ft); 24V strips ≈ 21 W/m (≈ 6.40 W/ft). Example: a 5 m (16.4 ft) 24V strip: 21 W/m × 5 m = 105 W. Required current = 105 W ÷ 24 V ≈ 4.4 A — choose a power supply rated at least 5 A or higher.
Installation Tips:
- Test the strip and controller before permanent installation.
- Use adequate power injection for long runs to maintain brightness and color accuracy.
- Mount on a clean, dry surface; consider aluminum profile channels for heat dissipation and a finished look.
