Overview & Installation Notes:
- Power & Controller: Choose a power supply that matches strip voltage (5V or 12V) and provides sufficient current. Example: a 5 m strip with 60 LEDs/m (~300 LEDs) at ~0.3W/LED requires ~90W → 90W / 5V = 18A minimum.
- Connections: 3-pin SM connector mapping: Red = VCC, White = GND, Green = DATA. Some models use 4-pin connectors for dual-line ICs.
- Cutting: Cut only at designated cut points. Avoid sharp bends to prevent damage.
- Mounting Surface: PCB has adhesive tape on the back for most versions—ensure surface is smooth, clean, and dry for secure adhesion.
- Voltage Drop: For long runs, inject power at both ends or at intervals to reduce voltage drop.
- Packaging: Supplied in anti-static bag. IP30/IP65 strips include 3M tape on back; IP67 versions may lack 3M backing.
- Note: Solder joints every 0.5 m are normal and not a quality defect.
